Nike lays off workers, involving 740 people.

The world's major sports shoe group Nike will lay off 740 employees at its headquarters.

According to a document provided by Nike to the state government where the headquarters is located in Oregon, the company will launch the second phase of the layoff plan on June 28, involving 740 employees at the headquarters.

The group announced a cost-saving plan in December last year, and carried out layoffs in February this year, involving 1,600 employees. The company had 83,700 employees in March last year.
